Review/Giveaway: Laceez No-Tie Shoelaces

I love getting new items that can make my life or my children's lives just a little bit easier! Laceez are NO-TIE shoe laces that can help do just that!

Laceez provide an elastic lace that is laced into your shoes just as a normal lace would, except at the top where you would tie, it is held in by a metal end, which turns your normal sneakers into a slip on.

I have a 5 year old daughter who was our guinea pig for this review. We received three pairs for review, in black, white and pink. The laces are nicely made, come in very bright colors (which we love) and stayed clean during the test period for the most part.

We decided to put the laces into my daughters new shoes, a pair of pink converse with the pink Laceez laces.

The initial installation was a trial and error. I realized that that laces were a little long for her size shoes, so I had to keep them semi loose at the bottoms to get the metal ends to stay put on the top holes.

I took them out and did it again and it seemed to work a little better.

Their site says that it makes the shoes an easy slip on, but in our case, it was more of a headache to slip her shoe on because I had to hold the laces up (with the tongue of the shoe) in order for her foot to go in. Even though the laces were a little too long, it made the shoe tighter in a sense, so it was difficult to get her foot in with ease and she couldn't do it by herself.

Once they were on, the metal ends did not stay in place (probably because they were a bit long) - they constantly slipped out and were stabbing her in the foot so we ended up taking them off. She was complaining that her feet hurt from it.

After trying them out, I think they are a great concept, but not for us.

I feel this could be a good idea for smaller shoes (that is, a toddler who cant tie their shoes yet and would trip on free laces) but for a 5 and up child, I think this is just a "for looks" type of product.

I have noticed that some other reviewers have said that it a convenience factor to have these but for me, I do not believe it was any more convenient to have these in. I would much rather tie a shoe than have to force her foot into said shoe with the Laceez. I think it is possible if the size had better matched her current shoe size, but as any parent knows, that is a constantly changing situation.

Sizing is as follows: Childrens 8-9 (XS), 10-11 (S) 12-13 (M) 1-2 (L) 3-4 (XL).  They are expected to have sizing for adults in 2016! Sign up on their website to get a notice of when new products have been released.

Laceez currently come in 7 colors and a set of Laceez costs $7.99. They ship internationally, with 100% guaranteed satisfaction or your money back (within 30 days). They can be purchased on their website, as well as sites like Amazon! To find a store near you, check out their store locator.

I really appreciated the opportunity to review Laceez. Given the satisfaction guarantee, I think these are definitely worth trying out even though they didn't work for us, since sizing can be such an individual matter.   Laceez is offering one of our US readers 4 pairs (which four colors will be a surprise) - read on to see how you can enter to win.

  5. I would like to try the purple laceez myself. I have small feet so the biggest kids size would work for me. I loved Velcro shoes as a kid, this seems like a great adult substitute.

  34. While the Laceez No-Tie Shoelaces seem impressive, I couldn't help but notice the mention of erp software in saudi Arabia. It's fascinating how technology is revolutionizing various industries. I wonder if there are any local businesses in Riyadh that have implemented ERP solutions to streamline their operations and enhance customer experiences. A review or case study on that would be insightful!
